Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) Philippians 4:6 tells us to not fret or be anxious for anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and requests, with thanksgiving continue to make your wants known to God.~ That is a person that is trusting God! The next verse, 4:7 says it is that way that God’s peace will be ours, through Christ. That is how we have the peace that guards our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus.
We are in a time in history that we truly must guard our hearts, keeping our eyes and hearts fixed on Jesus. Be selective what you listen to. The worlds view is never going to give you peace, and as you let the world in you will begin to sink. Don’t listen to man’s opinions that are contrary to the Word, and yet have been woven into scripture. You will lose your peace and sink. Don’t listen to negative, but stay focused on the Word of God. As Paul wrote more than once, May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. Stay focused on Jesus through the Word of God, and stay free from fear and full of peace!
